How do I switch from the QuickFile Standard version I use now to QuickFile
Enterprise?
Call your sales representative today to get started! One of our helpful and knowledgeable
Product Support Representatives will contact you to get started once you’ve completed the appropriate paperwork. Once the paperwork is done, you may also need update your software from our website (we will advise you if that’s necessary). If you have been using the QuickFile standard version, we will first need to receive your data. This is done through an FTP process that will be coordinated by us. You will receive the FTP program from us the day before your data conversion is scheduled. It will run overnight, and the next day our programmers will convert your data. Once finished, one of our friendly staff members will help you make sure everything is set up correctly, show you how to create your administrator ID and password, and give you a brief overview of the new program.
How many users can I have?
Each Enterprise account allows you 5 distinct login
ID’s. In other words, your 5 login ID’s are valid for a single location and
you’re allowed one home installation.
If you would like to access your data from additional locations, you are
required to purchase an Enterprise account for each additional location and
will include 5 login ID’s. If you require more than 5 ID’s per location then
you may purchase an unlimited number of login ID’s, and there is no limit to
the number you can purchase.
What if I don't have internet access?
You must have internet access to use QuickFile Enterprise. We do not permit using Enterprise with a dial up connection. High speed internet access is required for proper performance.
If your internet connection is interrupted you will be temporarily unable to access your client information.
Is the functionality in the QuickFile Enterprise Edition
the same as in the version of QuickFile I currently use?
All QuickFile functionality remains the same as in your current version. In addition, there are some important changes that give you additional functionality you did not previously have such as: unique user/login ID’s and passwords, the ability to assign specific names to each login so that there is an audit trail on work done in the system, plus comprehensive and flexible user permissions and levels. This edition also allows you to filter data as you search, or when you run reports, so that you may have access to all offices, just one, or perhaps two or three here or there, depending on your needs. This would also depend on the user permissions you assign when setting up your login ID’s (not all users will have access to all data based on how you define that).
Is my data secure?
QuickQuote will use every reasonable precaution to keep your data safe and secure. Your QuickFile data is stored on geographically redundant SQL servers, which means that your data is backed up and maintained in multiple locations at all times.
Our servers are stored in Tier 1 data centers behind firewalls that protect against viruses and unauthorized data intrusion.
How do I use QuickDownload with QuickFile Enterprise?
The basic functionality of QuickDownload remains the same with QuickFile Enterprise. If you have multiple locations, you should be doing downloads separately from each location – with a separate IVANS account for each location.
QuickDownload uses your local network to store transactions. It is recommended you set up QuickDownload on one computer in your office. You should not run QuickDownload from your laptop or a home office computer that is not connected to your local network because any transaction imported from the download servers would not be able to integrate into your main database. Using QuickDownload requires an extra fee. Call your sales representative for details.
If I am also a QuickQuote user, can I use the QuickFile Enterprise Edition?
Yes! If you would like to switch to Enterprise and you use QuickQuote, you will also use the Enterprise version of QuickQuote. It will have the same look and feel
as our current version. The difference is that your saved quotes file will reside on our secure servers, along with your QuickFile data, rather than on your local machines or server.
Is QuickFile Enterprise web-based?
No insurance agency management system is completely web-based. Your data is stored on web servers, however the QuickFile software needs to be
installed on each computer in order to access this data.
What is required to use QuickFile Enterprise at each office?
Each office must purchase an Enterprise license which allows you to logon, view and process client data. As mentioned above, each Enterprise license allows
5 distinct logon ID’s.
Can I work on clients from home?
Each QuickFile Enterprise account (a single location)
is allowed 1 home installation. This home account will allow you to process
client data as if you were at the office.
Can I scan or attach images to my client files?
Yes! As in the standard version of QuickFile, you can scan and/or attach images to your clients in QuickFile Enterprise. Images will be stored on our
secure, redundant servers. Image limits are as follows: for all .JPG, .GIF, .BMP, .XLS, .DOC, etc. files, the limit is 1 MB of disk space. For all .TIF files the limit is 2 MB
of disk space and for all .PDF files, 6 MB.
